ABOUT AFESU

Formation that transforms, for over 50 years

AFESU is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that has been working to promote human dignity through the citizen, educational and professional formation of women – children, teenagers and adults – who are in a situation of social vulnerability since 1963.

It was one of the first Brazilian social organizations created with the mission of entering women in the job market. It currently offers free complementary activities to children and teenagers at before/after school time; professional initiation and technical courses to the young and adult women. Its work is developed in three units: Morro Velho, in Jardim Taboão, São Paulo city; Moinho, in Cotia; and Veleiros, in Vila Missionária, also in São Paulo city.

“We go beyond the professional formation; we want to form people of criteria and who are committed to their values, who will transform the society, starting from their profession”
Fernanda Figueiredo, CEO – AFESU
